John Doolittle’s Marathon Swim Story
In late November I spoke with one of the founding members of the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim. The original Frogman Swim which has grown to several locations, is a 3.4 mile swim across Tampa Bay that runs each January. With just a few hundred swimmers, it has been known to raise as much as $700,000 for the NAVY SEAL Foundation. This important organization provides for the families of fallen SEALS.
In this episode, Captain John Doolittle tells us about himself, how he grew up a swimmer, but never thought he would end up swimming across the English Channel. He did so to raise money for the family of his friend Neil Roberts who fell in combat after 9/11.
I hope you enjoy today’s episode!
