Simon Griffiths’ Swim Story
Today I had the good fortune of connecting with the founder and publisher of Outdoor Swimmer magazine, Simon Griffiths.
Have you checked out Outdoor Swimmer magazine? More than just a beautiful periodical with pictures and stories of amazing places to swim around the world, visit OutdoorSwimmer.com for tips on how to improve your swimming, gear recommendations, outdoor swimming news, events, and so much more!
Simon was quick to clarify that he hasn’t swam that many marathons but there’s so much to be learned from his story! Including. how testing and experimenting in new realms can inform your main event and you might even find out that you like it!
I’m forever curious about why some people swim and others won’t, why some swim further and others don’t. I’m going to keep talking to all different kinds of swimmers to figure out what brings them to the water and why they keep going – not that everyone has to swim, or that everyone has to swim marathons, but with the information that I gather, I can continue to empower those who discover the joy of reconnecting with their watery roots, how they can unlock their limitless potential in the water.
What has the water taught you? Do you have a story to share? Email me, shannon@intrepidwater.com; I’d love to hear from you.
I hope you enjoy Simon’s story!
