Natalia Tchouitch’s Marathon Swim Story
In her own words:
Natalia Chuich, Moscow Russia.
I was born in Chelyabinsk which is famous for the champion ice hockey players rather than swimmers….
I started swimming at the age of 8, since the age of 10 I joined sports school where I had a chance to train everyday twice a day for 5 years. I wasn’t very successful, my only medal and first prize was at the Championship of Chelyabinsk region where I won 200 m backstroke.
I dropped from swimming after 8th grade at school and started preparing for my entrance exams to the University. My speciality is English and German languages and General linguistics.
Currently I work at BBDO Moscow advertising agency as Head of Strategy
Started swimming again in 2013 and came back to my childhood dream to cross a water body. My first swim was Miami mile in 2014. My first important win was age group gold at the Bosphorus Cross Continental Swim in 2017. Later in 2017 I did my first marathon swim – 10K within Morocco swim trek (in wetsuit).
My most important official marathon swims that happened since then are here:

In 2020 I was nominated for the Barra award for the most prolific marathon swimming season of 2019.
On July 29 2021 I competed Triple Crown Swims and became the first Russian Triple Crowner.
Earlier in July (12-13.07) I participated in the international 8 person relay in Siberia across the Baikal Lake and along the Angara river where we made the coldest crossing of Baikal (60K under the temperatures of 4-10C)
